Road Management and Maintenance Plan 2025 - 2040
The 15-Year Road Management and Maintenance Plan (RMMP) aligns with Papua New Guinea's National Road Network Strategy, Connect PNG Programme, and MTDP IV. It aims to rehabilitate and sustain the National Road Network for efficient, safe, and sustainable movement of people and goods. Based on 2023 Road Condition Survey data, the RMMP focuses on three pillars: safety, serviceability, and sustainability. Developed through stakeholder consultations with PNG Road Fund, ADB, and others, this dynamic plan addresses maintenance needs, reduces backlog, and extends road lifespan while adapting to evolving priorities and policies. It guides GoPNG and donor-funded maintenance programs.
