Road Network Maintenance and Development
Our responsibility includes managing and maintaining Papua New Guinea’s extensive 8,700-kilometer national road network, ensuring roads are safe, operational, and accessible year-round.
Priority Highway Maintenance
- We maintain key highways, such as the Highlands Highway, Hiritano Highway, Sepik Highway, Buluminski Highway, and the New Britain Highway, which are vital for trade, tourism, and connectivity.
- Maintenance activities include resurfacing, widening lanes, and adding safety features like guardrails and signage.
Bridge Construction and Repairs
- Our team constructs and rehabilitates bridges that connect communities across rivers and challenging terrains. These structures are built to be flood-resistant, durable, and environmentally sustainable, ensuring year-round accessibility.
