DOWH PARTNERS WITH JIWAKA PROVINCE TO SUPPORT ADB PROJECT IN NORTH WAGHI DISTRICT

Department of Works and Highways Secretary Mr. Gibson Holemba, receiving a K2.5m chq payment from Jiwaka Provincial Member and Governor Hon. Simon Kaiwi, MP with his Provincial Administrator Mr. Rick Kogen at DoWH HQ in Port Moresby. The cheque presentation is made payable to Project Readiness Financing (PRF) Trust Account in accordance to the Secretary of Works approval in compliance with the Asian Development Bank social safeguard policy requirements.

The Department of Works & Highways is pleased to accept the counterpart funding support from Jiwaka Provincial administration and North Waghi District Development Authority (DDA) today with the momentous cheque presentation for improvement funding assistance to Jiwaka section of Dona to Kerowaghi road.

The cheque presentation is made payable to Project Readiness Financing (PRF) Trust Account in accordance to the Secretary of Works approval in compliance with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) social safeguard’s policy requirements.

The Department would like to acknowledge the counterpart funding arrangement and sincerely thanked the Jiwaka Provincial administrator Mr. Rick Kogen and the North Waghi DDA for having the confidence in the department with the strong partnership from ADB to ensure this cheque presentation is concluded on a high note.
