GG Executes Road Maintenance Contract for Obura Wonenara

H.E. Grand Chief Sir Bob Bofeng Dadae GCL, GCMG, KStJ, Governor General of Papua New Guinea, has executed on behalf of the State, a contract for major upgrade and maintenance of road in Obura Wonenara District in Eastern Highlands province.  

The road covers 54km between Aiyura National High School gate to Obura at Habina Junction (65.60km) in Obura Wonenara. Roadworks include pavement recycling, stabilization and sealing.

The contract is valued at K247, 241, 826. 94, inclusive of GST, and will be fully funded by the State under the Connect PNG Program.

The duration of the contract is 44 months.

The National Executive Council has awarded the contract to Too Good Construction Limited. Company representatives Zara Kakaso and Raia Tesine signed the contract witnessed by Secretary of Department of Works & Highways Gibson Holemba at Government House this afternoon.
